University Centre at Blackburn College
Lectures, seminars and workshops at the University Centre at Blackburn College feature smaller groups, a more informal atmosphere, lots of one to one tutor contact and plenty of activities where you can really get involved.
All lecture rooms are equipped with cutting edge interactive Smartboard technology and DVD and projection facilities, all of which help to create a more dynamic and challenging learning environment.
There are three schools situated within the University Centre at Blackburn College; School of Art and Society, School of Business, Law and Education and School of Health, Science and Technology.
Each school benefits from excellent facilities that are designed to support you and enhance your Higher Education study experience.
As a partner student of a validating University you may be able to access facilities at the relevant University campus too.
Wifi is available across the whole campus to ensure you can stay connected and you have access to over 180 drop in PC’s and Laptops. The University Library provides access to over 23,000 print books, 137 print journals and access to over 44 millions articles and e-books. There are extensive social learning areas in the library and dedicated and knowledgable staff on hand at all times to support you to ensure you reach your full potential.
There is an active Student’s Union located on campus run by a team of Student Officers elected by you to ensure your voice is heard. Get involved and try something new by volunteering. It is a great way to make a difference whilst gaining practical skills and experiences that will boost your CV and future opportunites. There is also a student shop to buy your studying essentials and University Centre branded clothing.
The Curve is the perfect place to relax, unwind and catch-up with friends. In it you will find a Starbucks Coffee counter, delicious freshly made food at student prices, breakout areas and pool table.
