Blackburn College are pleased to partner with Oaklands Solicitors to help secure a Business Support Apprentice within their friendly law practive based in Rossedale.

oaThis amazing opportunity has arisen for an individual wishing to embark on their admin and customer service career.

The successful apprentice will study the Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship at Blackburn College one day a week. Applicants will also attend an initial assessment at Blackburn College prior to submission to the employer.

Key Functions

  • Answering phone calls and assisting clients and 3rd parties with any queries or redirecting the calls to the relevant person/taking and passing on accurate messages
  • Logging all calls and post sent and received
  • Sort and send outgoing post
  • Assisting solicitors with admin tasks
  • Maintaining organised files and records
  • Assist with adhoc duties as and when required
  • Any other tasks to be carried out on behalf of the firm
  • Photocopying/Scanning
  • Maintain reception area/meeting rooms ensuring they are tidy at all times
  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the office in a warm and friendly manner and addressing their questions and needs
  • Adhering to GDPR guidelines and maintaining client confidentiality on a day to day basis

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Numeracy, accuracy, and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent, proven organisational skills. • IT Competent
  • Some experience working in office/solicitors office preferable
  • Confident individual with a proactive attitude.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings
  • Good time keeping with an eagerness to learn and progress
