Housing officers supervise the day-to-day maintenance and management of rented properties that belong to local authorities or housing associations.
As a housing officer, you would usually be responsible for a particular estate or group of properties. You would support tenants and encourage them to take part in tenancy groups that help shape the community in which they live.
