This programme will provide you with an introduction to the skills required to be successful in the beauty industry.

Overview
You will learn make-up application, manicure and pedicure treatments and facial skills.
Many of our students build their confidence through practicing their new skills within the on campus salon and spa, Academy. With the Level 2 and 3 students to support and guide Level 1 learners.
Many of the course tutors have come from the beauty industry and provide industry knowledge as to how to present a professional image and what it required to work within the beauty sector.

- Health and Safety
- Presenting a professional image
- Skin care
- Basic make-up application
- Basic manicure treatments
- Basic pedicure treatments
- Working with others
Uniform:-
16-18 year old students qualify for free kit and uniforms. Students aged 19 and over may qualify for subsidised uniforms based on individual needs

Entry Requirements

You will be required to attend an interview and provide evidence of good attendance, punctuality and a commitment to achieve. You will also need 3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or equivalent.

Practical assessments on models in a realistic working environment. Theory assessment may be online or paper based.

To do this job you will need to have good maths and computer skills. You’ll need accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll also need good communication skills.
