The HR Apprentice role will form an integral part of an established but developing team. the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across the function while learning the fundamentals of HR. Underpinned by relevant training and learning, the successful candidate will be working on a range of HR processes from recruitment through to retirement.
You will study the Level 3 Human Resources Support (CIPD) Apprenticeship at Blackburn College one day a week.
Role Tasks and Duties
  • Support HR Business Partner in all aspects of HR administration.
  • Data entry, upkeep and security of employee data onto HR system in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679.
  • Handle general HR enquiries and messages by email, phone and face to face and refer to HRBP as required.
  • Set up and administrate Company Induction for all new starters as part of on-boarding process.
  • Manage, record and report all daily absence calls/messages for specific site.
  • Provide admin support to HRBP on absence, grievance investigations and disciplinary meeting as required.
  • Conduct all Right to Work (UK) checks on all new starters for designated area.
  • Ensure any relevant paperwork (starter, leavers, variation details) is passed to payroll in good time for payroll cut off dates and is completed accurately, reporting any anomalies where appropriate.
  • Generate and circulate various HR weekly/monthly management reports as required.
  • Supporting the HRBP on typing up minutes / notes from meetings, chasing up close out of actions from meetings.
  • Other ad hoc duties and project work as required.

Qualifications
