Blackburn College Students shine at Annual Mess Dinner
Public Service students experienced both the fellowship and fine dining of a Mess Dinner, a traditional ending to their course as well as an exciting experience.
The formal event, which is catered and served by our hospitality students at Scholars Restaurant, is an opportunity for the students to practice the customary rituals undertaken at a military dinner.
Richie Watts, the curriculum leader of Public Services at Blackburn College and organiser of the event said:
“The evening was a huge success, a celebration for those who are completing their Level 3 course and it was an honour to have both the Chair of Governors, Lillian Croston and our Principal and CEO, Dr Fazal Dad, attend the occasion.
A big thanks to everyone in both the Public Services and hospitality teams for delivering the event.”
It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to have a glimpse into what potentially awaits them once they progress further into the public service sector.
