Business Students are inspired by Dragons Den Day
Apprentice Star Adam Corbally hosted a two-part Dragons Den: Student Enterprise event for our Business Students.
The students formed groups and presented a project or service which ‘would help or improve peoples lives.' The purpose of Enterprise Events, which are held nationwide and are hosted by Adam Corbally, a quarter-finalist on the 2012 season of the BBC's Apprentice, is for students to gain confidence and understand the basics of creating their own business.
The panel of judges was made up of representatives from local businesses such as Euro Garages, Nybble IT and Blackburn College itself.
Describing the event, Adam Corbally said:
“Blackburn has recently seen an upsurge in successful local businesses, which should be a fantastic inspiration to students and it is great to see Blackburn College is taking the initiative to book these events to give young people that extra push.”
The winning group (picture above) competed in the final stage of the event at the Maynard Theatre in the Victoria Building.
